FC Barcelona is actively pursuing the addition of Jabari Parker, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft, to bolster their roster and fill the position vacated by Nikola Mirotic, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The 28-year-old power forward underwent a medical examination today, and if he passes, he could soon be signing with the Spanish powerhouse.

Parker’s career has been hindered by significant knee injuries. He last played for the Celtics before being waived on January 7, 2022, and since then, he has been seeking opportunities outside the NBA. Earlier this year he was linked with Partizan.

The best season in the NBA for Parker in 2016-17 with the Bucks when he averaged 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 33.9 minutes per game.

He has played a total of 310 regular season games in the NBA, averaging 14.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2 assists in 27.5 minutes per game.
