Damian Lillard’s trade request from the Portland Trail Blazers to the Miami Heat continues to make waves in the NBA.
Despite the offseason buzz, both sides have yet to find common ground. Portland aims to secure maximum value for their franchise player, while Miami seeks to minimize the assets they part with.
NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski recently shed light on the situation during an appearance on ESPN’s NBA Today.
“[Miami Heat wants] Damian Lillard. They just want him for as little as they’re going to have to give up… They’re essentially daring [the Trail Blazers] to go out into the marketplace — which Portland is doing,” Wojnarowski explained.
